Front Yards

When we moved, I had to say good-bye to my treadmill. For the longest time, moving and unpacking was the only exercise I was getting. Then I decided maybe it wasn’t so hot and I could run around the new neighborhood. There was no way I was doing that without my phone, so I always had the camera app with me.

On my jog, I liked how manicured the grass and tree looked a couple blocks away. Then it got better.

Someone had a water fountain.

Like a real school water fountain.

For real. And it worked. I pressed the button. The sign was in Hebrew, so I took a picture to ask Google to translate. The message was welcoming, but I still felt like it was not really for me. Mostly I was curious if they drain it and shut it down for the winter. Then we had a crazy extremely cold winter for NYC. I hope the pipes were okay. I’ll have to check on it soon.
