I’m always weary of getting a parking ticket. One time I decided not to leave my car in a spot that would violate alternate side parking only to find a spot that I was sure was far enough from a hydrant. No one parks more than five feet away from a hydrant. That’s how I learned the hard way that the law is 15 feet. Way too much space for a hydrant.
Other people don’t drive like me. When a woman in the building I was moving into said she always finds parking, I had to take that to mean she always parks illegally. If you don’t pay your tickets, sure, no problem.
I feel like I constantly report illegally parked cars that the 311 tells me responders arrived and decided there was no violation. So when I saw two tickets on a car that has current tags and didn’t seem to be violating any rules, I had to take a picture. Who did they annoy?
