One of my favorite moments on a shoot isn’t the “perfect pose.” It’s the moment someone surprises themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this fitness campaign, our model was squatting a challenging weight for the first time with guidance from a real trainer. Rather than posing her for a single hero shot, I kept photographing the entire interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concentration. The uncertainty. The realization that she’d done it. The pride that followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those are the moments I’m always looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Great photography isn’t always about asking someone to smile. Sometimes it’s about recognizing the moment that’s already happening\u2014and being ready when it does. That’s why I keep shooting. Authentic expressions rarely last more than a second, but they often become the images people remember.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
