We had a dog with us for our Thanksgiving trip, so we stopped at the first one in the Appalachians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My attempts to wrangle two kids and a dog were minimal. I was the only driver, so I didn&#8217;t want to waste too much energy. The dog&#8217;s energy? That we could expend. Of course, it&#8217;s my daughter jumping around in the first photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We headed to a clearing with rocks and tree stumps. I already knew they were going to have awkward shadows from the full sun light, so I went ahead and snapped pictures that gave more of an idea of where we were rather than looking nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we started to walk down the road to keep moving around, I asked my daughter to turn back to look at my phone. I could select her face and tell it to adjust the exposure to be brighter, but it&#8217;s not the same as having a real camera.
