I think I was out for a jog when I tried not to step on this guy. It doesn’t look like a normal part of the path I would have been running, but I’m not sure what other reason I had to be out here when no one else is around in daylight.
Normally I see rats bounding through rain gardens near the garbage collection at my local park. To see one lying on its back not anywhere near receptacles for trash was different.
Why take one picture when I could keep trying to re-frame it? I did not want to get up close and the iPhone 13 doesn’t zoom very far, so I did not get any overly artistic shots. That’s not really my speed.
